WINTER 2025 UPDATES - BEST SHAMPOOS & CONDITIONERS

This is a continuation of my Best Products List, where all the shampoos and conditioners I love most are featured. Here’s how they work and what I like most about each one!

Best Repairing AND Colour Protecting Shampoo & Conditioner - Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate strengthens damaged hair, prevents breakage, and locks in colour. Its acidic pH (3.0-4.0) seals the cuticle, which in turn reduces fading and dryness, while the Bonding Care Complex with citric acid reinforces weakened hair. It’s sulfate-free, deeply hydrating, and ideal for all hair types, especially chemically treated or damaged hair. Unlike many repair shampoos, it strengthens without drying out the hair, making it a top choice for both moisture and protection. 🎶 Have you tried this one? 🎶 I’ve been loving and recommending it since before Sabrina Carpenter started endorsing it. Just sayin’!

Best Deep Cleansing Shampoo - Ouai Detox is perfect for a deep cleanse, removing buildup and impurities without stripping your hair. It uses apple cider vinegar, charcoal, and vitamin C to exfoliate the scalp and keep hair fresh and clean. I absolutely love the smell, and it leaves my hair squeaky clean - perfect for right before using a deep conditioning treatment!

Best Everyday Shampoos & Conditioners:

Biolage HydraSource is an affordable option designed to deeply hydrate and nourish dry hair, helping restore moisture balance and prevent hair from feeling brittle. Its formula includes aloe and a unique Hydrasource complex that targets dryness and leaves hair feeling soft and manageable. Perfect for those looking for daily moisture without breaking the bank.

Redken All Soft focuses on adding incredible softness and shine to dry or coarse hair. Because it’s infused with argan oil, it helps to smooth frizz, improve manageability, and provide lasting hydration, making it ideal for hair that needs extra nourishment. It’s the go-to for achieving silky, soft hair every day.

KMS Moisture Repair is perfect for hair that’s been damaged by heat styling or chemical treatments. It deeply nourishes and repairs, helping to restore strength and elasticity while maintaining moisture. The formula includes lipids and proteins that work together to rebuild and protect hair, making it a great daily choice for those with fragile or over-processed hair.

Best Luxury Shampoo & Conditioner brands:

For those looking to splurge on top of the line hair care

Pureology is known for it’s sulfate-free, colour-safe and eco-conscious formulas that provide intense nourishment and hydration, which makes it a great choice for colour-treated hair.

L’Oreal Professional offers high performance products that are designed for professional results, with options to target specific hair concerns like damage, volume, or frizz, all while maintaining salon-quality care at home.

Best Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner - Goldwell Just Smooth is designed to tame frizz and smooth out unruly hair while adding shine and moisture. It protects hair from humidity - leaving it sleek, shiny and frizz-free. To me, it smells just like Sweet Tarts, adding a fun, sweet scent to your hair care routine. It’s ideal for anyone looking to achieve a smoother, more polished finish every day, and it provides long-lasting results without weighing hair down. Not recommended for finer hair types.

Best Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner - Aloxxi Bombshell gives you that “just-got-a-blowout” look with lightweight formulas that add body and bounce. The botanical extracts and proteins nourish while boosting volume and thickness. It makes the hair feel fuller, healthier, shinier and vibrant all day long.

Best Blonde Toning Shampoo & Conditioner - Oligo Blacklights is the ultimate choice for maintaining and enhancing blonde hair. The purple or blue toning formulas neutralize brassiness and yellow undertones, leaving hair with a cooler, more vibrant blonde. It’s also enriched with proteins and nourishing ingredients to keep hair healthy, shiny, and strong. It’s the perfect choice for blondes looking to maintain their colour between salon visits. Because both the shampoo and conditioner are so pigmented, I personally don’t think it’s necessary to have both. If you’re looking for more vibrancy and brightness while toning, I’d go with the shampoo. If you’re looking for intense moisture with a stronger toner, I’d opt for the conditioner instead. Just remember when choosing a formula: The violet is for neutralizing yellow or gold tones, and the blue is for neutralizing strong gold or copper tones.
